Sweet potato seen by the child’s eyes

Sweet potato provides sweet inspiration for 9th grade students in Tajikistan. As beautiful as these drawings are to look at we feel that the farmers who plant these and the scientists who helped breed disease resistant and stress tolerant varieties are also quite the artists.

Generous funding from USAID – US Agency for International Development Feed the Future is helping to ramp up potato production and support research that will improve food security in the Khatlon Province.
